The CIA foiled a plot by Al Qaeda to blow up an airliner using a more advanced underwear bomb. Now the CIA is marketing those briefs to terrorists everywhere hoping they'll be dumb enough to wear them.

• A big week for Facebook as its initial public stock offering Friday could be worth $100 billion; founder Mark Zuckerberg turned 28 on Monday.

  Imagine how much money the company could make if it actually made something or did something.

• Kim Kardashian tweeted a photo of herself with a spray tan, adding that tanning mom Patricia Krentcil "has some serious competition."

  Just to be clear, Kim would never drag some poor naive kid into a tanning booth. A marriage, that's a different story.

• A man has attempted to set a world record, fist pumping for 17 hours straight.

  Pumping with your fist for hour after hour. Or, as guys call it, "puberty."

Man Shoots Friend At His Request

Authorities say a northern New York man had his friend shoot him in the leg with a rifle because he wanted to know what it feels like to be shot. State police in St. Lawrence County say the shooting occurred around 5 p.m. Sunday in the rural town of Stockholm when 25-year-old Shawn Mossow of neighboring Norfolk relented to his friend's repeated requests and shot him once in the right leg with a .22-caliber rifle. The 24-year-old man from Norfolk is expected to make a full recovery. Police haven't released his name. Mossow was charged with reckless endangerment. He's being held in the county jail on $10,000 bail. It could not be immediately determined if he had a lawyer.

Dog Custody Battle Costs Man Over $60,000

A New York City man has spent more than $60,000 in lawyers' fees trying to win custody of his dog after his ex-girlfriend took the pooch to California. Dershowitz considers his dog, Knuckles, his "son." In papers filed earlier this year in Manhattan state Supreme Court, Dershowitz said ex-girlfriend Sarah Brega "kidnapped" Knuckles after they broke up. The Post says Dershowitz has started a website to raise money for the custody fight. For $250, contributors can "play fetch with Knuckles." The drive is off to a slow start. Dershowitz raised $85 in the first week.
