Lindsay Lohan's half-sister has spent over $25,000 on cosmetic surgery to try and look like her. In fact, she looks so much like Lindsay that yesterday she was arrested and sent to rehab.
RICHARD GERE and wife Carey Lowell have split. Word is they've been living apart for quite some time and plan to file for divorce. They've been married 11 years and have a son named Homer James Jigme Gere. Apparently it's nothing too dramatic as Gere is a homebody while Carey likes socializing. One sign it's over is they've put their 12-bedroom New York estate on the market for $65 million.
BILL NYE says he has a partially torn ligament resulting from his performance during DANCING WITH THE STARS on Monday. As of now, Nye plans to dance next Monday.
- KURT COBAIN'S mother has put the house he grew up in on the market. However, it's far from a bargain as it's listed at $500,000, even thought it was assessed at less than $67,000. However, it does include the mattress that Cobain slept on as a child, sketches of band names he made on the walls, like Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin, and a few photos of him growing up. Something else to keep in mind is that the home is described as 'dilapidated.'
- M.I.A. is firing back at the NFL over their lawsuit against her for flipping the bird during the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show. In a YouTube video, M.I.A. says, "They want me on my knees and say 'sorry' so they can slap me on my wrist" and "It's a massive waste of time, massive waste of money." (See here - NSFW)
- A new DWIGHT YOAKAM compilation, called 21st Century Hits: Best of 2000-12, will be out next Tuesday. The compilation will be available digitally, on CD and as a deluxe CD/DVD combo featuring five music videos.
New Orleans hip-hop diva Big Freedia has broken the record for "Most People Twerking Simultaneously." Actually, Freedia had help from 358 people in Manhattan's Herald Square yesterday. A Guinness World Record official was on hand to make sure everyone followed the rules, which included "no hands on the ground, no hands on your ankles." (See here)
San Diego Chargers rookie linebacker Manti Te'o will reportedly make his NFL debut on Sunday. Te'o injured his foot in the Chargers' preseason opener and hasn't played since.
An unnamed Decatur, Alabama man called 911 to report gorillas in his backyard. By the time police arrived, they found that our friend had apparently gone ape and fired several shotgun blasts inside his home from the comfort of a recliner. Officers found several bullet holes in the walls and said, "It appeared he was shooting at something he thought was inside the house." As a result of his monkey business, the man was taken away for a mental evaluation.
