The tempers are flaring in Washington as the government shutdown continues. You can tell things are getting heated because President Obama got into a Twitter feud with Jimmy Kimmel.
The 'have ANGELINA JOLIE and BRAD PITT secretly gotten married' buzz has started again as she was seen wearing a new ring on her wedding finger. She's been wearing a gold band on her left ring finger since March, but now has a second ring on the finger. Angelina and Brad announced their engagement in April 2012 and the 'getting married this weekend' rumors have popped up in the tabloids from time to time since then. No word from their peeps.
AMC just released a new web series based on THE WALKING DEAD. It's called The Oath and the three installments help explain the first episode of the series. The Oath is set in the same hospital where Rick wakes up in following his month-long coma on the premiere episode. The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 13th. (See here, here and here)
- YouTube is holding its first music awards show. LADY GAGA, EMINEM and ARCADE FIRE will be among those performing at the November 3rd event. The show will feature plenty of performances as there are only six award categories for the 90-minute live event. Actor Jason Schwartzman will host.
- JAY Z is featured on the cover of the November issue of Vanity Fair. He says daughter Blue Ivy never heard any of his music until Magna Carta - Holy Grail came out and she loves all the songs. Jay Z says, "She plays a song and she goes, 'More, Daddy, more...Daddy song.'"
- THE BAND PERRY'S KIMBERLY PERRY is engaged to Toronto Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia. J.P. proposed on Monday night at Kimberly's parents' home in Greenville, Tennessee. Kimberly says she thought her family was meeting up to go to dinner, but when they called her outside and J.P. was standing under the oak tree, she says, "I saw that and I thought, 'This is really happening.'
A bunch of motorcyclists in New York were caught on a helmet cam video beating up a motorist in front of his family. Alexian Lien called 911 to report bikers driving erratically in an unauthorized rally known as Hollywood Stuntz. When a biker cut in front of Lien's SUV, he clipped the guy, causing him to crash. With the angry bikers surrounding his SUV and beating on the vehicle, Lien ran over several bikes to escape and a chase ensued. When Lien got off the highway, he got stuck at a stoplight and the bikers began smashing his windows with their helmets and dragged him out and beat him. Lien was treated for lacerations to his back and face and police have arrested one biker. They say another biker whose legs were broken may be left a paraplegic.
NASCAR driver Nelson Piquet Jr. has been fined $10,000 and ordered to attend sensitivity training after using a gay slur in commenting on fellow driver Parker Kligerman's selfie after a workout.
Dude, where's my bus? An unnamed 21-year-old Port McNicoll, Ontario, Canada was riding a Barrie Transit bus. When he got to his destination, he disembarked the bus without his backpack, containing about a pound of marijuana. A short time later, our friend called Barrie Transit looking to retrieve his property and when he came to claim it, was met by police who gave him another ride to jail.
