A frigid winter storm is plunging temperatures below freezing in the Deep South. In fact, it's so cold today in Tennessee that moonshiners are making margaritas.
KIM KARDASHIAN has apparently changed her mind and will marry KANYE WEST on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim had said she wouldn't get married on TV again but with the wedding expected to cost several million dollars a televised wedding means the network will pick up the tab. A source tells Radar Online, "Kim persuaded Kanye to let the cameras roll because E! will pick up most of the cost of the wedding and it's a lot easier for a network to deal with logistics of a foreign wedding than if it were just the two of them planning it." The source added, "Both Kim and Kanye have very high expectations for their wedding. It will be an over-the-top affair and there will be pre-wedding festivities leading up to the big day for their guests. It'll be like a festival!"
ROSIE O'DONNELL is returning to THE VIEW! Actually, Rosie will just be a guest on the show on February 7th. This comes some seven years after she left the show on somewhat less than favorable terms.
- According to ticket seller stub hub, BRITNEY SPEARS has the number-one show in Las Vegas. They say Britney's Piece of Me show has already outsold residencies by Celine Dion, Elton John, Shania Twain and Rod Stewart. (See a clip from Britney's opening night here)
The saga of California Little League coach Alan Beck continues. He's the coach that sued one of his players for $500,000 after he threw his helmet in celebration and accidentally injured the coach's Achilles tendon. When the coach realized he looked stupid, he offered to drop the suit in exchange for an apology from the kid. However, the kid's family says there won't be an apology because the parents don't believe their child did anything wrong. The player's father said the incident already cost the family $4,000 in legal fees.
The Baltimore Ravens have hired former Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator.
A high-speed chase that reached speeds of more than 100 mph through two central Iowa counties and continued despite the fleeing truck's tired being flattened by spike strips, finally ended when the truck crashed and burst into flames. Luckily, none of the truck's four occupants were injured, but two people were arrested. If you're wondering what triggered the chase, two women in the truck went into a drug store where they shoplifted a pair of tweezers and an eyebrow pencil.
