Justin Bieber is now on a Homeland Security watch list. Apparently they're afraid Bieber will commit an act of terrorism by releasing another movie.
A March 3rd trial date has been set for JUSTIN BIEBER in Miami for his recent DUI arrest. Bieber's attorneys have filed a written plea of not guilty. While initial trial dates are often delayed, it's been speculated that Bieber will cut a plea deal. Meanwhile, Bieber is on a Homeland Security watch list for his two ongoing criminal cases, which means he'll be detained for questioning every time he re-enters the U.S., much like when he arrived in New Jersey for the Super Bowl.
DANCING WITH THE STARS has apparently fired HAROLD WHEELER and his band. ABC released a statement saying, "Since season one, Harold and his band have performed brilliant music in our ballroom for our dancers and the American viewers at home. We are grateful to him and his band for their amazing work and years of collaboration. We wish him the best of luck." Sources say that it was becoming increasingly difficult for the band to play current music. No word on whether they'll be replaced by new musicians or if they'll use recorded music.
- ARCADE FIRE scored a leading six nominations for the Junos, which are Canada's top music awards. MICHAEL BUBLé was right behind with five nominations, while CéLINE DION, DRAKE, and TEGAN AND SARA had four nominations each. Arcade Fire is up for both single and album of the year and the fan choice award. The awards will be handed out on March 30th.
The offers are rolling in for Savannah, Georgia personal injury lawyer Jamie Casino following his Super Bowl commercial. Even though the ad only ran locally, it went viral online and he's saying producers are already inundating him with TV show offers. (See interview and spot here)
Magic Johnson and Los Angeles Dodgers chairman Mark Walter have teamed up to buy the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. Both the team and the league have been in limbo since Christmas when previous owners informed the WNBA that they were financially unable to continue.
Wasilla, Alaska's Natasha Bowers attempted to flee a DUI stop by leading police on a brief chase before pulling into her garage and shutting the door. That worked about as well as you might expect as Alaska State troopers simply opened Natasha's garage door and arrested her following a brief struggle.
2007: NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak was arrested in Orlando for allegedly trying to kidnap a rival for the affections of a fellow astronaut.
