North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly spends over $600 million a year on luxury goods. In fact, he spends so much money on luxury goods that his friends call him Kim Jong Kardashian.
JIMMY KIMMEL revealed that he and wife Molly McNearney are expecting a baby. Kimmel announced the news during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that will air on tomorrow's episode of her show. Kimmel said, "You know, it's disgusting the way babies are made...There's so many human body parts involved. Did you know that there are eggs in us? That's gross, just to start with." Kimmel also has two grown children from his first marriage and when Ellen asked if he'd be an involved dad Kimmel responded, "Well, I have two kids already. I don't know where they are, but I hear they're doing great...I have a 20-year-old son and a 22-year-old daughter and I've really forgotten everything [about raising kids]. There are new ways to do things. You hold them by the front of the neck now."
Nominations are out for Nickelodeon's 27th annual KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS. Nominees in the film category include Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Iron Man 3, Oz the Great and Powerful and The Smurfs 2. The Big Bang Theory, Good Luck Charlie, Jessie, and Sam & Cat will compete for favorite TV show, while American Idol, The Voice, America's Got Talent and Wipeout are up for favorite reality show. Music nominees include One Direction, Katy Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. Mark Wahlberg hosts the show on March 29th.
- SOUNDGARDEN will release two deluxe editions of their 1994 album Superunknown on June 3rd. Both sets will include demos, B-sides and rehearsals, many of which have never been released. Soundgarden will also release the vinyl set 'Superunknown: The Singles' for Record Store Day on April 19th. To announce the releases, they posted a rehearsal version of "The Day I Tried to Live" on YouTube. (See here)
If you plan to go to Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida you'll have to make more money magically appear from your wallet. Disney has hiked prices for the second time in eight months, bringing the cost of single-day admission to the Orlando theme park to $99 for adults and children ages 10 and older. They also announced hikes for its other theme parks - Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, where it now costs $94 for single-day admissions.
The New York Knicks have released forward Metta World Peace and guard Beno Udrih. The Knicks signed them last summer and expected that the veterans would help them for an expected playoff push.
There are a number of YouTube posts enticing gullible kids to various challenges. South Carolina's Shawn Stillinger accepted one of those challenges involving a blow dart. Shawn describes the challenge thusly, "I tilted it up to shoot it out at a tree and it fell back out of the straw that I had it in and it went into my throat." Shawn says that the dart became lodged in his windpipe and that one of the ladies at the hospital told him they were going to have to cut his throat open. Shawn's mother stated the obvious when she said, "He was scared and I think he realized then what he did wasn't really worth what he was feeling right at the moment."
