Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. earned $75 million in the last year, making him the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Unfortunately, he blew all of his money on chicks and Rustoleum.
JUSTIN BIEBER had six visits from the police at his Beverly Hills condo over the weekend. Four of those visits were over noise complaints for loud music and partying on the roof top, with the last visit coming at 3AM. Bieber wasn't cited because he agreed to turn the music down and the other two incidents involved disturbances with fans and paparazzi. However, Bieber could be flirting with jail because he's on two years' probation for egging his neighbor's house. If Bieber were to be cited, that matter would be sent on to his probation officer and it could trigger a probation violation, which could mean jail time for Bieber.
The FXX channel is launching "Simpsons World," which will let people access every episode of THE SIMPSONS on demand via computer or other networked devices. Subscribers will be able to search for specific quotes and share their favorite clips and quotes. Meanwhile, the FXX channel will have a Simpsons marathon starting August 21st in which they'll are all 522 episodes in chronological order 24 hours a day, for 12 days.
- The Hotel Dylan has opened in Woodstock, New York. Named for BOB DYLAN, it's not far from where he and The Band recorded Music from Big Pink and near where Woodstock took place in 1969. The Hotel Dylan features rooms named for musicians associated with the area such as "The Jimi," "The Roadies," "The Van" and "The Hippie Chick."
Booking themselves a one-way trip to hell are the scammers capitalizing on the Malaysian Airlines tragedy by setting up fake Facebook pages that purport to be set up in "memory" of victims killed on the flight. However, when users click on the sites set up in the names of children who died on the flight, they were instead led to pop-up ads for online gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, and other shady offerings. One Facebook page dedicated to crash victim Liam Sweeney urged people to click on a link called, "Video Camera Caught the moment plane MH17 Crash over Ukraine." Instead, the link took users to a pornographic website. Apparently such schemes are "extremely lucrative."
Johnny Manziel had the best selling jersey in the NFL during the first part of the 2014 NFL season, beating out established quarterbacks Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick and Peyton Manning. Michael Sam placed No. 6 on the list, just behind Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
California's Francisco R. Legaspi was scheduled to be sentenced in January 1993 after pleading guilty to one count of aiding and assisting in the presentation of false tax returns. Francisco was released from custody in November 1992 with orders that he show up for his sentencing. Apparently not wanting to go to jail, Francisco hit the road. The road is where Francisco might still be had U.S. officials not been able to find him in Ontario, Canada, thanks to his Facebook profile.
