Those MARIAH CAREY and NICK CANNON split rumors are apparently true. TMZ now says they separated back in May and are living apart and divorce lawyers are working out property and custody agreements and that the divorce is "a done deal." Nick confirmed the news in a tweet saying, "There is trouble in paradise...we have been living in separate houses for a few months." As for what started it all, word is it was a couple of radio interviews that Nick did. In one, he was asked to name five celebrities he slept with and Mariah went bonkers when he mentioned Kim Kardashian. After Mariah tore into Nick for weeks about it, he did another interview about how he and Mariah didn't sleep together before they got married and she went nuclear again. Mariah also feels Nick has abandoned her and the kids by working too much. However, when she points out that they don't need the money, he gets ticked because he doesn't want everyone thinking he's living off of her. Nick also feels Mariah has become impossible because she surrounds herself with "yes men" and can't handle it when he dares to disagree with her.

Get ready for some more polar vortexes! The Old Farmer's Almanac has released its 223rd edition and they're calling for a "super cold" winter for the eastern two-thirds of the United States this year. They say the Atlantic corridor will be colder and slightly wetter than normal with above-normal snowfall. The coldest periods will be in late December and early and mid-January. The snowiest periods will be in mid- and late December, mid-January and early to mid-February. While the almanac claims an 80-percent accuracy rate, its prediction for a very hot summer this year didn't quite pan out.

A police officer was on patrol in Mt. Angel, Oregon when he saw a man and a woman outside a home and noticed the man appeared to be on fire. The officer initially assumed there had been some sort of accident until Toddi Bork ran to the officer screaming that she'd purposely set her husband on fire after they got into an argument about spraying for weeds. Bork then placed her hands behind her back and stated that she needed to be arrested. The officer complied and she later told police she didn't want to kill her husband, but just get his attention. It turns out that Bork was also lit as she admitted to drinking six or seven beers before the incident.
