That Internet character Slender Man is being blamed for another attack. This time a 14-year-old Florida girl allegedly soaked linens in bleach and rum and set her home on fire as her mom and brother slept inside. Investigators say she regularly read about Slender Man online and had apparently gotten into an argument with her family over household chores. Luckily, everyone escaped the burning house, but it could've been tragic as the mother tried to go back into the house to find her daughter, not knowing she set the fire and had fled. The mother was driven back by the heat and firemen also braved the flames to search the home before determining she wasn't there. The girl later sent her mother a text message which read: "Mom, I'm so sorry. I don't know why I did it. Did any of [YOU] get hurt?" The girl has been charged with one count of arson and two counts of attempted murder.
