The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Guidice have been sentenced to prison for fraud. On the bright side, Joe will now get to be a real housewife to his cellmate.
There are more details coming out about Olympic swimmer MICHAEL PHELPS' DUI bust. Police reports say Phelps' eyes were red and bloodshot and "his speech was mush mouth" and that during the field sobriety test when he was asked to do a one-leg stand, he said, 'that's not happening.' The report also says Phelps appeared disoriented and argumentative. Even though it's his second offense, one lawyer said, "He's more likely to be eaten by a polar bear than go to jail for a year."
CBS is working on a TV series version of the Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker RUSH HOUR movies. No word on casting as of yet.
- BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, METALLICA, EMINEM, CARRIE UNDERWOOD and RIHANNA are among the artists performing in The Concert for Valor at the National Mall in Washington next month. The concert aims to raise awareness of issues concerning veterans. The concert will take place on Veterans Day, November 11th, and will air on HBO, which will be free that night.
Better check your credit and debit card statements. JPMorgan Chase says a cyber attack this summer compromised the accounts of 76 million households and seven million small businesses. Those are much bigger numbers than previously estimated. Overseas hackers gained access to the names, addresses, phone numbers and emails of JPMorgan account holders, however they say there was no evidence passwords or Social Security numbers had been taken.
The New York Mets have fired hitting coach Lamar Johnson and assistant hitting coach Luis Natera. The move had been anticipated and both have been offered positions in the minor league system.
Wheelchair-bound Roberto Rodriguez apparently thought the Naples, Florida K-Mart had a handicapped shoplifting zone. An employee witnessed Roberto wheeling through the store as he helped himself to nearly $1,400 in merchandise, which he stuffed into his pants. However, greed was Roberto's downfall as he asked another shopper to place a flat screen television on his lap and then asked another shopper to push him out of the store without paying for any of the items. Roberto was detained by store personnel and then wheeled off to jail.
