LeBron James and his wife have welcomed a new baby girl. Next summer she'll make her WNBA debut.
JENNIFER LAWRENCE and CHRIS MARTIN have consciously uncoupled. They dated for about four months, but had just gone public with the romance in August. If you're wondering, a source told People magazine, "Jen is the one who broke it off with Chris," although no reason was given.
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS has signed a deal with NBC to host a U.S. version of the British variety show Saturday Night Takeaway. The British version features comedy sketches, game-show elements, hidden-camera pranks on celebrities and appearances by A-list stars. However, Harris' show isn't expected to air on Saturdays or have the same name. No word on when it'll premiere.
- TAYLOR SWIFT will be spending her New Year's Eve in New York's Times Square as the headliner for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Swift is one of nearly 40 performers that will perform during the annual telecast. More names will be announced soon.
The father of 19-year-old Deisi Ocampo gave her two $20 Illinois Lottery tickets for her birthday last week. It turned out to be a very happy birthday as one of the tickets was a winner worth $4 million. In the understatement of the year, Deisi said: "It turned out to be the best birthday present ever!" She says she plans to buy a new house for her family and pursue her dream of completing her degree and becoming a nurse.
Chicago Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston ruptured his right ACL while celebrating a sack of backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo during the team's loss to the Patriots on Sunday and is out for the season.
If you need further proof that smoking is bad for you, an unidentified Colorado man, whom we'll call Joe Camel, dropped a lit cigarette down the front of his jacket while backing his vehicle out of a driveway. Joe then jumped out of his vehicle to avoid being burnt. Unfortunately, his van kept rolling backwards and he was knocked to the ground and couldn't avoid one of the tires rolling over his head. Police say he suffered life-threatening injuries, but is likely to survive.
