It's reported that Black Friday shopping was down this year. I thought it seemed a little quieter at the mall. Only once was I bludgeoned while reaching for an Xbox.
There are more details coming out on what went on in the operating room during JOAN RIVERS' throat procedure. It's now reported that doctors continued with the procedure for 14 minutes as her vital signs were deteriorating. Not only that, doctors delayed calling 911 for 10 minutes while they tried reviving her themselves. Even worse, it was at some point during this time period that her doctor snapped that selfie in the operating room. Experts say that if doctors had begun CPR and called 911 immediately, Joan might still be alive. However, by the time paramedics arrived to the clinic Rivers "had no heartbeat, no pulse" and "she wasn't breathing."
As expected, THE WALKING DEAD'S midseason finale got its biggest ratings ever. Some 14.8 million viewers tuned in, which is up 23 percent from last year's winter finale and makes it the highest-rated midseason finale in the show's history.
NICKI MINAJ has released the 19-song track list for the deluxe version of The Pinkprint. The album includes an appearance by Beyonce, along with Ariana Grande, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, and others. The album is due on December 15th.
It turns out that Black Friday was a bit of a letdown this year. Preliminary numbers say that spending this four-day weekend was expected to fall from $57.4 billion last year to $50.9 billion this year, which is a drop of 11 percent. They also found that fewer people were shopping on the Black Friday weekend. They say the number of people shopping in stores and online this past weekend was 133.7 million, which was a 5.2% drop from last year. Per-person spending over the weekend was expected to hit $380.95, a 6.4% drop from last year's $407.02.
Four NFL teams have reportedly expressed interest in free agent running back Ray Rice. They include the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, although it's not known if any team will risk the public backlash and sign him.
Pennsylvania's 23-year-old Savannah Turachak was arrested by police for public drunkenness. After citing her, Savannah was released, but she returned moments later to report being harassed by someone. While doing so, Savannah fluffed her shirt to straighten it out and accidentally dropped a baggie of crack cocaine on the police station floor. Surveillance video shows she tried to pick it up, but instead left it when other people walked in and she was later re-arrested.
