If you need any more proof that KATY PERRY and JOHN MAYER are on again, it came Wednesday night when Mayer guest-hosted "The Late, Late Show" and interviewed Katy's Super Bowl sharks! (See here) Meanwhile, lawyers for Katy have sent a cease-and-desist order to some guy in Florida who's been selling 3D-printed models of Left Shark from her Super Bowl half time show.
NBC has announced that their dramas THE BLACKLIST, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, GRIMM, CHICAGO FIRE and CHICAGO P.D. will be back for new seasons. No decision yet on The Mysteries of Laura, State of Affairs or the network's sitcoms.
INCUBUS has released their first new song in almost four years. It's called Absolution Calling and it's from their upcoming four-song EP, "Trust Fall: Side A," which is due March 24th. It's presumed that a second EP, likely "Side B," will be out later in the year. (Hear here)
The Anthem Health Care computer hack that exposed the data of 80 million Americans may have been the work of China. Investigators say the data bears "fingerprints" of a nation-state, and investigators believe it to be China. There may be a bit of good news for the victims as the attackers may not be interested in credit card data, but rather information on defense contractors and government workers. Among the victims are the White House's own chief adviser on cyber security and it's also noted that Anthem insures Boeing and other defense contractors.
Seattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Thomas separated the shoulder during the NFC Championship Game and wore a brace in the Super Bowl to protect it.
When engaged in illegal activities, it's a good idea to obey all traffic laws. This would've been a handy tip for Lantana, Texas' 23-year-old Blake Terry, who was doing 97 mph in an 80 zone. When the officer pulled Blake over, he noticed a lot of cigarette smoke in his car, which is often done to conceal other odors. Blake was nice enough to inform the officer of a pistol and marijuana in his car. They can't nail Blake for perjury, but they did get him on charges of marijuana possession and theft of a firearm, which was stolen from the Austin Police Department.
