Following the NFL's Deflate-gate scandal, Major League Baseball is upping security for its balls. From now on umpires will observe players when they scratch themselves.
It looks like those Dancing with the Stars romance rumors between partners ROBERT HERJAVEC and pro dancer KYM JOHNSON are true. They've never confirmed or denied the buzz, but the paparazzi caught them making out at the Ritz-Carlton in Rancho Mirage, near Palm Springs this past weekend. They did share a kiss on last week's live broadcast of the show, but at the time they said it was just part of their performance. (See here)
The series finale of MAD MEN is coming up this Sunday and if you need to get caught up, AMC has begun airing all 91 episodes in a row. The Mad Men marathon will culminate with the finale on Sunday night at 10 Eastern. In a show of support, AMC's sister networks - BBC America, IFC, Sundance TV and WE TV will go dark during the finale.
ED SHEERAN has bundled together his self-released EPs from his pre-fame days. The bundle combines five EPs and is now available on iTunes.
America has spoken and they want Harriet Tubman to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. A grass-roots campaign called Women on 20s started an online petition to name a woman to appear on the currency. After the first round of voting the four finalists were Harriet Tubman, Wilma Mankiller, Eleanor Roosevelt and Rosa Parks. Such a change doesn't require any sort of Congressional approval and it's now up to treasury secretary Jack Lew to make it happen. If you didn't study about her, Harriet Tubman was an African-American abolitionist, humanitarian, and Union spy during the Civil War.
Kyle Busch will return to racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway for this weekend's NASCAR All-Star Race. Busch's return comes less than three months after he broke his right leg and left foot in a crash at Daytona. Busch's return comes much sooner than anyone had expected.
Turner County, South Dakota assistant district attorney Matt Olson apparently felt his wife needed some beauty rest. Unfortunately, Prosecutor Olson will now be the prosecuted following a domestic dispute with his wife, who claims that he took away her phone before giving it to her sister, broke a kitchen table, cut off the electricity to the house and threw a king size mattress at her. Mrs. Olsen had filed for divorce the previous week, citing irreconcilable differences and extreme cruelty and it would seem that she has a solid case.
1985: Tony Perez became the oldest major league baseball player to hit a grand slam at the age of 42 years and 11 months.
