NBC has canceled the Biblical drama AD: The Bible Continues. NBC canceled the show after Jesus made some unfortunate statements about Mexican immigrants.
Someone is shopping a photo to the tabloids showing BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN in hospice care and her aunt, Leolah Brown, is vowing to find out who it is, although it's apparently a family member. Meanwhile, it's reported that a member of Bobby Brown's family recorded a telephone call with boyfriend Nick Gordon just three weeks after Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized. Nick didn't know he was being taped, but said he didn't hurt her and that drugs were to blame. Nick said, "I'll tell you the honest truth, Krissy, she was under a lot of stress and we were all doing drugs and you know, all, all drinking, bro." As for Nick being blamed for her death, he added: "When Krissy wakes up she'll tell the truth to everybody. Everybody will feel stupid as f***." He then warns, "If they take her off that life support, the police are going to have to take me down bro."
MARISA TOMEI is joining the cast of EMPIRE this season. Marissa will have a recurring role as a billionaire venture capitalist with a love for "hip-hop, social trends, high-end fashion and beautiful women." Empire returns September 23rd.
ED SHEERAN has lined up an acting role, although he can't say much about it. Sheeran did say it's a medieval TV show and it's really, really dark and it'll be coming out after July. While Sheeran had previously said he wanted to appear on Game of Thrones, this will be a new TV show.
Two San Francisco TV news crews made news themselves while covering a murder. While at the scene of the crime the crews were robbed at gunpoint and a camera operator was pistol-whipped on live TV. Part of the robbery was captured on the air as the reporter pleads for the gunman not to shoot. No shots were fired, but the gunman got away with the crews' cameras and tripods. (See here)
Ben Payne suffered premature celebration at the Peachtree men's open 10k Saturday in Atlanta. Payne seemed headed to victory, but celebrated before crossing the finish line and lost to British Olympian Scott Overall in a photo finish. (See here)
Fayetteville, North Carolina police received multiple reports of an armed man walking through the Macy's department store at Cross Creek Mall on Thursday evening. Within minutes, officers tracked down Bryan Wolfinger, who was carrying an AR-15 rifle, a Kevlar vest and multiple ammunition magazines. Wolfinger was arrested on charges of "going armed to the terror of the public" after explaining to officers that he was with the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg and went to the mall to have photos taken with the gun and the other equipment.
2013: An Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 crashed upon landing at San Francisco International Airport, killing two passengers and injuring over 180 others.
