A ball at the center of Tom Brady's deflate-gate scandal was auctioned for $43,740. At least the price of the football is overinflated.
TAYLOR SWIFT may have LADY GAGA and her "magical spell" of love to thank for her relationship with CALVIN HARRIS. When a Swiftie tweeted his concerns over finding love, Taylor replied, "Go read Gaga's tweet that she sent me a few months ago. It's good love luck. Because it's not a tweet. It's a magical spell." (See Gaga's post here) As for Harris, he says he's "insanely happy" with how things are going with Taylor, adding "It's going absolutely fantastic."
JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT will guest star on THE MINDY PROJECT next season as Mindy's husband. However, Mindy will still have her boyfriend, played by Chris Messina. It turns out that when The Mindy Project moves to Hulu this season, an alternate reality storyline will be part of the plot.
BLINK-182'S TRAVIS BARKER is working on a book called "Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums." As for how it's coming along, Barker shared a photo of the chapter titles on Instagram the other day. (See here)
Colorado Springs police are crediting a stuffed Minion toy with saving a 5-year-old girl's life. Police say the girl was playing in her bedroom Thursday night when she fell backward out of her third-story apartment window. Fortunately, as she was falling, she continued holding on to her Minion, which is believed to have cushioned her fall. The girl was treated at a local hospital for a broken arm and later released.
The Houston Rockets and forward K.J. McDaniels have reportedly agreed to a three-year contract worth $10 million.
The Rockets also acquired Ty Lawson from the Denver Nuggets for Kostas Papanikolau, Pablo Prigioni, Joey Dorsey, Nick Johnson and draft picks. Lawson punched his ticket out of Denver when he was arrested on DUI charges for the second time in six months last week.
Back in April, Mohammad Al-Oqaily was stopped on the New York side of the Lincoln Tunnel for removing the license plates from his car before driving through the E-Z Pass lane in order to avoid paying the toll. You would think this would teach someone a lesson. However, Mohammad was caught doing the same thing last week, this time telling officers he'd removed the plates in order to clean his car and hadn't put them back. When officers tried to arrest him, Mohammad shoved the officers and had resisting arrest charges added to a theft of service count.
