SEAN PENN has filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Empire creator LEE DANIELS. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Daniels talked about how Empire star Terrence Howard's ex-wife, Michelle Howard, claimed that he beat her. Daniels said that Howard had done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and yet Howard was demonized. There've been stories that Penn has abused women, including ex-wife Madonna, although they've never been proven. In his lawsuit, Penn says he will "no longer tolerate" allegations of past violence against women. The lawsuit also notes that Howard has "reportedly and publicly" admitted to physically abusing women and that Daniels "also seems to condone Howard's reported misconduct." The suit adds that Penn, unlike Howard, has never been arrested, much less convicted, for domestic violence.

St. Augustine, Florida's David Swindler and his family were regular visitors to Disney World. On their most recent visit they were having such a good time that David called the front desk around 11:30 p.m. to see if there was a room was available for the next night as well. After being put on hold for 15 minutes, a frustrated David hung up, called back and jokingly said: "I could have built a meth lab in the time it has taken for you to answer my question." The employee apparently thought David actually had built a math lab and called police, who searched the room. They found no drugs, but Disney banned David and his family for life from all Disney parks. David has appealed the ban and is waiting for Disney to review the case.
