There's good news if you're tired of breaking down your nuggets of wisdom into 140 characters or less before sharing them with the world on Twitter. Twitter says it's working on a platform that would allow users to share content longer than 140 characters. Wenatchee, Washington's Martin Eugene Hoyer heard a bunch of Mexicans and white guys plotting with his neighbor to steal his truck and cash. In an attempt to prevent that, Hoyer grabbed a handgun and threatened to shoot his neighbor. Hoyer said he then saw Mexicans in the trees getting ready to attack him, two of which went to a downstairs neighbor's apartment, urging her to open Hoyer's door so they could rob him. Hoyer then went to his downstairs neighbor's apartment with the pistol in his waistband to save her from the Mexicans. However, when he raised his leg to kick the door, the gun went off. The downstairs neighbor told police she heard a loud bang, saw Hoyer fall to the ground and say, "Ow." That's because doctors say the bullet skipped off the ball of Hoyer's hip joint and plunged directly downward into his scrotal region. Hoyer is facing numerous charges and it will surprise few people that police noted he has four prior felony convictions and was on the second day of a methamphetamine binge.
