China says that it'll become the first country to land a space probe on the dark side of the moon by the year 2020. If that's successful, the following year China says they plan to land a probe on Hotel California.
JONATHAN GOLDSMITH doesn't always get sued but when he does, he prefers to be sued for breach of contract. Goldsmith is the actor who plays the Most Interesting Man in the World in Dos Equis commercials and he's being sued by his former talent agency, which says he stopped paying commission on the $1 million a year he makes from the ads. The suit says, "There is nothing interesting about being a deadbeat or failing to pay those directly responsible for one's career success" and "As it now turns out, had Goldsmith landed a role that more accurately portray[ed] his true character, he would have landed the role of 'The Least Honorable Man in the Entertainment Business.'"
Plans are in the works to turn the LETHAL WEAPON movies into a TV series. Like the movies, it'll have rogue homicide detective Martin Riggs teaming up with by the book veteran Roger Murtaugh to solve tough cases. No word on casting yet.
Despite their marital split, AVRIL LAVIGNE and CHAD KROEGER are still working together. They posted Instagram photos over the weekend showing them in the studio with messages indicating they're working on new music.
A couple was on board a United Airlines flight to Hawaii, but their vacation didn't begin well. First, Janet Masters said they found a bag of vomit in their seat pocket. She and her husband alerted a flight attendant about the bag and things got worse. In the process of handing over the used airsick bag, it burst open and its contents were dumped all over the couple. Janet told the media, "Smelling that smell on us and around us was just totally, totally disgusting." The couple was given new seats and a $300 travel voucher from United, but the voucher arrived only after their story made it to media outlets.
Ohio State remains atop the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll and tied a poll record in the process. Ohio State has now been top-ranked 101 times, matching Oklahoma for the most in the 79-year history of the poll. The rest of the top five were TCU, Baylor, Michigan State and Utah.
Port St. Lucie, Florida's 44-year-old Felicity Leigh Palma called police to report a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, Felicity told them she saw two thieves running from her house and that her jewelry and money had been stolen, while her boyfriend said his prescription drugs and false teeth were missing. As police investigated, the boyfriend brought them a bag containing his false teeth that he found inside his car. Felicity claimed her boyfriend was trying to frame her for the burglary, but police noticed the missing bottles of prescription drugs inside her purse. Felicity admitted that she made up the whole incident because she was angry with her boyfriend and she was arrested for the thefts and filing a false police report.
