Carrie Fisher says the movie studio pressured her to lose over 35 lbs. to return as Princess Leia in the new Star Wars movie. Not only that, the studio ordered Chewbacca to get a haircut.
An anonymous woman from Michigan has filed a lawsuit against an unnamed California celebrity, claiming he gave her genital herpes. The only real clue we have is that he had a residence of some sort last summer in Royal Oak, Michigan, and they hooked up while he was there. The woman says she's keeping things anonymous for now because of the social stigma attached to the disease as well as the celebrity of the defendant. The lawsuit seeks at least $75,000 in damages.
Luke Bryan, Demi Lovato, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth have been added to the lineup of "DICK CLARK'S NEW YEAR'S ROCKIN' EVE WITH RYAN SEACREST" in New York City's Times Square. Bryan will sing a medley of his hits, while Lovato will sing songs from her new album, "Confident," and Khalifa and Puth will perform "See You Again."
DIERKS BENTLEY will perform a string of dates in Britain next April. Bentley said in a statement, "We've been coming to Europe and slowly building a fan base since 2006, but it feels like something has really clicked recently. The volume and size of the crowd last year really blew my band and I away and we've been talking about coming back ever since we walked offstage."
Your Thanksgiving travel was a little cheaper this year thanks to lower gas prices and the good news is the same will be true for Christmas. For 25 days in a row, gas prices have fallen and it's predicted that'll continue through at least the end of the year.
The Triple-A reports the national average retail price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $2.04, which is 15 cents less than one month ago. Michigan has the lowest average price in the nation at $1.79 per gallon.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will pay a record $43.7 million luxury tax penalty. The Dodgers finished the 2015 season with the largest payroll in baseball history at $298.3 million. That includes about $50 million to players who never appeared for them in 2015.
An unnamed Tempe, Arizona, man recently went to the local jail to pick up his girlfriend, where she'd been incarcerated. If he's lucky, she'll return the favor. As the man arrived, the license plate reader in an officer's patrol car notified him that a reported stolen vehicle had just passed. The driver explained that he was borrowing the car from someone. That explanation worked as well as you'd expect and Tempe Police later tweeted out a photo of the truck with the caption: "Chivalry. Picking up your girlfriend from jail in a stolen truck."
