KDWB in Minneapolis does better submit-post-vote galleries that anyone else, and their hashtag ticket contests regularly cripple social media. For Valentines last year they did a sponsored gallery promotion that awarded a wedding package to the "Frolicking Fiance's" who got the most votes. Basically run outside in your swimsuits and take a photo with your fiancé.
When CPR Director of Computer Stuff Bel Boschi was a 16 year-old Brazilian exchange student living in Scandia, Minnesota, the first night it snowed she ran outside in her pajamas and took photos. Sadly, I was on the road and only heard about this second hand from my wife.
It goes without saying that quite a few of you will have snow events in the coming months. Have the listeners do hashtagged "Snowfies" for tickets. Either in their swimsuits or PJs or give them a theme every day, like with Lick It For Tickets.

Fugitive Radio is pretty darn amazing at rediscovering old methodologies. Like suddenly stumbling on High/Low two years ago. "It works great in PPM." No, yah think? Fuge is great for cume. I think Kiss in Seattle saw some kind of 50% cume pop in some dayparts. It was ...

"Artist Of The Year" A very very wise OM has a trip to the Grammy's and didn't want to do some standard "qualify to win" thing. So he's going to award the trip to the "artist of the year", ie: the person who does the best and most visible design of the station logo in ...

Right In The Shorts The first time I saw boxers used as swag was with Coke circa 1988 and among the pallet-full of 'stuff' they gave us to unload on the streets, were a couple of boxes of boxers. I thought "No one will ever wear these things" but they turned out to be ...

That Big Vacant Hole Known As "January" For the nth thousandth time, it's hard to beat a station that is always promotionally "on" and has something cool and compelling happening on the air. Which is why I spent a big part of December helping stations map out, week by ...
