As KDWB has discovered when they first started doing Pajama Parties for Valentines, listeners in PJ's will get them more views in the following 72 hours than most stations get in a calendar year. Over 2 million.
So, IF you had a decent concert ticket or experience, there's your bit. Instagramed hashtagged mirrored selfies of yourself in your PJ's with random shots being selected to win.
Several years into The Most Interesting Man campaign, it's still plugging along.
As I'm prone to remind you, every market has a suburb that you can make fun of without having legions of torch bearing villagers descend on the station and burn it to the ground. In Minneapolis? Anoka. You make fun of Anoka and the world laughs right along with you. Cedar Riverside? See my earlier statement about torch bearing villagers.
Lakeside is a community outside San Diego and John & Tammy at KSON just did a series called The Most Interesting Man in Lakeside (you could be from anywhere) to be crowned King Of Lakeside and enjoy a VIP experience. They. Nailed. It. No syndicated show could have pulled that off.
