CPR Promotional Check-Up
February 7, 2011
One of the best acknowledgements of the at-work 'nesters is up and running at Hot in Ottawa. It's a beauty pageant of at-work listeners. Why? Because every workplace has a hot employee. It juices web traffic, has multiple client opportunities and is, again, a chance to market to the people sitting in cubes listening to something for 8 or 9 hours at a time. www.hot899.com
Tickets For A Year
One of the best 1st Q promotions I ever did was Movie Tickets For A Year. A winner a day got their name on "The List" that the agency had for all their screenings. Cost? Zero. I just had to ask. And free tickets to (almost) every movie that comes out for a year? Phones melted.
My favorite flyaway series of recent past was Jamz 96.3/Albany's Thawout Thursday's from Winter '09-'10.
At this time of the year, trips are excellent promotional "hole fillers", ie: they're great prizes and they also help keep some momentum going until we get to Superbowl and Valentines. This is from Kiss in Boise:
We're doing BIG FREEZE FLY-AWAY #1 - We took a poll over the weekend since it's friggin 13 degrees in this beotch!
- luau, get laid and mai tai on the beaches of Hawaii
- Grammys in LA.
There was a lot of passion behind Grammys, but Hawaii won with overwhelming responses via text, facebook and on-air. So, we're letting you choose your destination. That way we service everybody and especially with the Grammy buzz coming. Lady Gaga will perform her new single and announce at Grammys. Plus, Katy Perry and Pink will be huge draws.
Monday we'll add a Flip Video Camera to get all the VIP footage including VIP Passes to the Grammy Museum and whatever party we can attack. Hawaii trip will get some type of snorkel package and suite vip hotel on the beach.
Really hitting the COLD aspect of the promo and considering LA is crappy now as well, that is another reason we added Hawaii. The Grammy part is just carrot to dangle to the listeners.
