Contests for Tickets
If you are a CHR and now that Gaga is off the road, Britney and Katy are the next two big things. Today? Britney. (And just wy not hire me you cheap thieving bastard(s)?)
The competition in one of the markets is giving away a trip to see Gaga in NYC. Two weeks of contesting with....text. Fail:
"Lose Your Mind For Britney Tickets". Winner must call in and scream and babble incoherently to win.
"Britney's Big Top". Basically on-air circus games. Mix them up. All theater of the mind. Walk the highwire without falling and get the tickets.
"Big Top FOR Britney". Wanna talk web hits?
"Shaved For Spears". Tickets for people who donate to Locks Of Love.
"A Britney Facial". Stick her face and our logo on your profile.
You could do "Hold It Between You." Couples with tickets pressed between them. Hugging. If the tickets fall out, they lose. Like a kissing marathon.
She was married for a night to a friend. I'd marry two friends and send them to the show. Annul it the next day.
BFF. Britney Free Fall. Give out grids on the ground. DJ tandems in. If they land in your square, you and your BFF get to go and meet her.
I still love what Houston did with changing the station to Brit 95.7 for a day. KUBE used to do that with all the big concerts.
Blondage. You have (intern) tied up with a bondage ball in their mouth getting whipped by a dominatrix. You win whatever "falls off them". Could be tickets. Could be CD's. Could be six packs of client product.
Blond Date. Send two listeners who have never met, blindfolded to the show. (Escorted so they don't fall and kill themselves). They come back the next morning to recap, again, blindfolded. If they had a fun time, you remove the blindfolds and send them on another date, picking up the tab.
Race To Britney. Two listeners, each paired with a DJ or EXCEPTIONAL promo person. The first team to get to (show 1500 miles away) with NO MONEY, gets to see the show and fly back. The losing team bus home. This has been done a hundred different ways and always big.
Mix & Match. Kind of like what KSFM did with loading 30 singles into a super stretch Hummer and sending them with booze to see a show in the Bay Area. Fly in Albany did it with Mraz. Five guys. Five women. The audience voted on who went with who. Random voters also got tickets.
