The holiday retail outlook looks good! A PriceGrabber survey of more than 200 shoppers found that 54% intend to spend more than $500 on holiday gifts this season, which is up from last year.
Online retailers lead types of store consumers will shop this holiday at 75% followed by discount stores at 74% then it falls off to 49% at traditional department stores, local independent retailers (41%), electronic stores (36%), clothing stores (24%) and luxury department stores (9%). Clothing ranks as the #1 gift, so said by 65% of respondents, followed by gift cards at 49%).
