a) April Fools: Truly selling new-to-radio summer ad business starts April 1st. I always use this April Fools date to bring in guys and girls in skimpy beach attire to model the upcoming summer beach fashions at a summer style lunch to make the point.
B) Genuinely new Christmas revenue to radio starts on Labor Day each year. Christmas tree goes up every year on the Tuesday after Labor Day to drive this home and stays up until..
C) Halloween is decorated with "scary images" of January logs empty and missed budgets because Jan + Feb were not well prepared for during 4th quarter, so the year got away from us ... a sales horror display!
