Don't Get Locked Out Of Facebook - Designate Trusted Contacts Today

Facebook just rolled out one of its more important features many don't realize how critical it is.
It's called "Trusted Contacts."
Here's why this is meaningful.
A few years ago, a colleague that was an admin of multiple Facebook Pages got locked out of Facebook due to so many of those Pages getting flagged for copyright infringement. By getting locked out of her own Facebook account, she lost access to all of her radio station Facebook Pages.
It took well over 72 hours to get someone at Facebook to help her back in.
Now - we can designate 3 to 5 Facebook friends as "Trusted Contacts" and have a much easier time to regain access to our pages; staying focused on more important tasks.
Click the horizontal lines to the bottom right on the FB app and scroll to "Settings"
Then click "Security and Login"
Scroll down to where you see the "3 to 5 friends" option:
Complete the steps of selecting Facebook friends as a trusted source.
One suggestion - while the initial hunch is to first make immediate family trusted sources - think about how savvy they honestly are before doing so. If I made my mother a trusted source, it would take like 8 years for her to figure out how to help me.
(And if I made my daughter a trusted source, no doubt she'd just keep me locked out, haha.)
As you see below, you'll also have the option to edit your choices:
Facebook then notifies trusted contacts they have been designated:
When you can't get into your account, Facebook will give each of your trusted contacts a "special piece of a security code." You contact your friends for each piece of the code to get back in.
Don't worry - they can't access your account.
I encourage you to get this done today. With Facebook clamping down on various violations - you never want to lose access to your radio station Facebook Page accounts.
