January Will Bring Changes To Clear Channel's News/Talk Stations In San Francisco
Gene Burns And Len Tillem To Join Revamped 910AM, Changes Also At 960 AM

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KNEW-A/SAN FRANCISCO will reposition itself as NEWSTALK 910AM, effective JANUARY 3, 2012, and pick up the KKSF-A calls. With that change, the station will add former CUMULUS Talk KGO-A/SAN FRANCISCO host GENE BURNS and LEN TILLEM. NEWSTALK 910 AM was previously positioned as FOX NEWS RADIO. The new station will be anchored by the successful Morning Drive team of ARMSTRONG AND GETTY.
"We are moving NEWSTALK 910 into the forefront of the talk genre in THE BAY AREA," said Dir./Operations DON PARKER. "With the addition of BAY AREA legend GENE BURNS and 'Radio Lawyer' LEN TILLEM to the line-up, we are very excited about the future."
"While it has been fun having the holiday month off, I am very anxious to get back to discussing both the issues of the day, and the Good Life on Dining Around," said BURNS. "I am excited to join a creative and energetic group of broadcasters and I am looking forward to JANUARY."

Meanwhile, down the hall, Talk KKGN-A (GREEN 960) will acquire the KNEW-A calls, and position itself as 960 AM KNEW on JANUARY 3rd. The station will use the tag "Opinions. Finance. Advice."960 AM KNEW will feature an updated line-up and will present opinions from both sides of the political spectrum as well as personal and financial advice. 960 AM KNEW’s updated line-up will feature GLENN BECK from 6-9a, DAVE RAMSEY from 9a-noon, RANDI RHODES from noon-3p, NORMAN GOLDMAN from 3-6p, Market Wrap from 6-7p and STEPHANIE MILLER from 7-10p.
"Recent changes in the talk radio market gave us the opportunity to adjust our plans for 960 KNEW," said PARKER. "We are excited to broaden 960 KNEW’s position to appeal to a wider variety of BAY AREA listeners."
