MORRIS DESERT MEDIA Classic Rocker KDGL (K280CV at 103.9)/CATHEDRAL CITY/PALM SPRINGS dropped the Classic Rock format, following a week of stunting with non-stop LOU BEGA's "Mambo #5," and at midnight on NEW YEARS EVE debuted Hot AC CRUSH 103.9. The Classic Rock format lives on at KDGL (EAGLE 106.9), and CRUSH 103.9 repeats the HD2 signal for KKUU-HD2, giving it full coverage in the COACHELLA VALLEY.
Under Market Manager JAY WHITE and PD ANTHONY (ANTDOG) QUIROZ, who also is PD at sister Top 40/Rhythmic KKUU (U92.7) the music on CRUSH 103.9 will run commercial-free for JANUARY, and focus on songs from the 90s up through today. KIDD KRADDICK will host mornings beginning FEBRUARY 1st, while afternoons will be local featuring APD TYLER RUSSELL coming over from sister Rocker KCLB.
WHITE told ALL ACCESS, "We intend to make our listener's lives better through great relevant programming, a local presence, and fun contests and events that are important to her life. CRUSH 103.9 gives the DESERT RADIO GROUP the female station its been missing in its lineup."
CRUSH 103.9 is consulted by ALBRIGHT & O'MALLEY's MIKE OAKES. Check out the site, at www.crush1039.com.
