D.C.'s WNEW Sets Debut, Anchor Lineup

CBS RADIO will debut the new all-News format on WNEW/WASHINGTON on JANUARY 19th.
The lineup will include News-Talk KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH morning co-anchor BILL REHKOPF and former HUBBARD News WFED-A (FEDERAL NEWS RADIO) and News WTOP/WASHINGTON anchor AMY MORRIS for mornings, HEARST Talk WBAL-A/BALTIMORE anchor JENNY GLICK and former WTOP anchor CHAS HENRY for middays, former WTOP and NPR anchor EVAN HANING and NANCY LYONS in afternoons, and BALTIMORE market veteran SARAH JACOBS and CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WIOD-A/MIAMI anchor CHERYL SIMONE in evenings.
"We are very excited to have put together such a great group of professionals who have spent many years covering local and national news," said WNEW PD ROBERT SANCHEZ. "Each brings a specialty to WNEW creating a great team which will deliver important and compelling news that matters to local residents. When WASHINGTON needs to know, this team will have them covered."
In addition, DCRTV.COM is reporting that CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WSYR-F/SYRACUSE News Dir. CHRIS BARNES is joining WNEW's staff as reporter and overnight anchor.
