Carrie Underwood Donates $350,000 To Hometown Schools

ARISTA NASHVILLE artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD donated $350,000 through her C.A.T.S. FOUNDATIONS (CHECOTAH ANIMAL, TOWN, AND SCHOOL FOUNDATION) to schools in her hometown of CHECOTAH, OK over the holidays. Four schools including MARSHALL ELEMENTARY, CHECOTAH INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL, CHECOTAH MIDDLE SCHOOL, and CHECOTAH HIGH SCHOOL received the donation which will go towards various needs such as computer labs, playground equipment, and instruments for music programs.

UNDERWOOD said, “Late last year each of the schools created a list of their needs and I am so thrilled that the C.A.T.S. FOUNDATIONS was able to fund it all. It gives me great joy knowing we are helping my hometown schools to offer an even better education to the students. They deserve it.”
