CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WGY-A-F/ALBANY's 2011 CHRISTMAS Wish campaign, its 32nd annual charity drive, raised $86,303 this season, the station announced TODAY (1/12). The campaign, aiding children in need with an emphasis on critical care services and recreational programs for ill, abused and homeless children, ran from NOVEMBER 15th through DECEMBER 23rd.
"Once again, the WGY family of listeners turned out in person, on the phone and online to share what they could for this incredible campaign," said WGY Director of Programming PAUL IHANDER. "Our corporate partners, led by CURTIS LUMBER, came through for us with their tremendous support, and we are sincerely grateful for their effort."
The station picks up all administrative costs for the campaign, meaning 100% of funds donated go to help needy children. Donations were collected at CURTIS LUMBER locations throughout the market. "The community commitment from Curtis Lumber, its contractors and customers sets a high standard for all of us," said IHANDER. "We witnessed first hand during our 'Breakfast with Santa' event at the BALLSTON SPA location, about CURTIS LUMBER's pledge to be a leader in giving back to the CAPITAL REGION."
