FEDERATED MEDIA/SOUTH BEND GM BRAD WILLIAMS has been promoted to COO of TALKING STICK COMMUNICATIONS INC, while FORT WAYNE, IN GM MARK DEPREZ has been named COO of PATHFINDER COMMUNICATIONS INC. Operating under the FEDERATED MEDIA umbrella, WILLIAMS will oversee the SOUTH BEND, WARSAW and GOSHEN markets while DEPREZ will oversee FORT WAYNE and AUBURN.
"Both BRAD and MARK have risen through the ranks at FEDERATED," FEDERATED MEDIA CEO ALEC DILLE said. " BRAD started as an account manager at WTRC in 1987 just after graduating from college. And MARK came to the company as WOWO GSM in 1994. With tremendous success along the way, they are well prepared to lead our companies toward unprecedented growth."
Their promotions coincide with the departure of FEDERATED MEDIA COO TONY RICHARDS, who "is fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning his own radio group through the formation of KENSINGTON DIGITAL MEDIA," DILLE said. "Because of this commitment TONY could no longer fulfill the duties of COO. Fortunately, this doesn’t mean he is leaving the company. Tony will continue to work with FEDERATED MEDIA in an advisory capacity and will be assigned to special company projects and initiatives. We will be forever indebted to Tony for his 36 years of service to this company."
In addition, JAMES DERBY has been named Chief Strategy Officer of FEDERATED INTERACTIVE, which specializes in digital and radio integration needs. "JAMES was hired two years ago to head our new interactive company and aggressively moved FEDERATED MEDIA forward with interactive initiatives," DILLE said. "The transition to Chief Strategy Officer is natural as we continue to explore both digital and traditional opportunities."
