Public Radio's DEI Names New Board

The non-profit public radio support organization DEI (THE DEVELOPMENT EXCHANGE, INC.) has named its new board. WDET/DETROIT GM MIKEL ELLCESSOR has been named Board Chair, with AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA/MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO SVP/Digital Innovation JOAQUIN ALVARADO as Vice-Chair, KQED-F-TV/SAN FRANCISCO EVP/COO DON DERHEIM as Secretary, and VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO President ROBIN TURNAU returning as Treasurer.
"DEI, under DOUG (EICHTEN)'s leadership, has been an industry touchstone for station-focused service and innovation," ELLCESSOR said. "The case for public media is stronger than ever and this is a great time to be fully engaged with taking that message to the widest cross section of AMERICA."
