NHL All-Star Thanks WRIF For Help Getting Him Chosen For Squad

GREATER MEDIA Active Rock WRIF/DETROIT got a shout-out of sorts from DETROIT RED WINGS all-star goaltender JIMMY HOWARD at FRIDAY's Media Day at the NHL All-Star Game in OTTAWA, thanking "the local radio station in DETROIT" for helping get him elected to the squad.

The BLEACHER REPORT reports that when HOWARD was asked if there was anyone he wanted to thank for helping get him to the game, he said, "I just want to thank the local radio station in DETROIT for all of their support in an effort to help me get here."  He added that he "occasionally tunes in" to the station but could not thank them enough for the support.
