UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP/NASHVILLE EVP/GM PAT HIGDON is exiting from the company after 12 years. UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP/NASHVILLE EVP/GM PAT HIGDON is exiting from the company after 12 years. UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP/NORTH AMERICA Pres. EVAN LAMBERG has announced that KENT EARLS has been promoted to HIGDON’s position. 

EARLS will preside over the company's Country music publishing activities, reporting directly to LAMBERG.

A NASHVILLE native with 20 years of music publishing experience, EARLS has been an instrumental part of the careers of numerous hit songwriters and artists including RIVERS RUTHERFORD, LUKE LAIRD, KATRINA ELAM, ANDREW DORFF and PHILLIP WHITE. He previously served as SVP/Creative for UMPG NASHVILLE and joined the company in 1997 as Assoc. Dir./Creative Services.
