FCC Radio-TV Inquiries, Complaints Down In Q3 2011

The FCC has released its figures on consumer inquiries and informal complaints filed by the public for third quarter 2011, and the overall number of inquiries rose over 10% from the previous quarter to 14,419, with radio and TV inquiries (mostly from programming issues) rising almost 5% to 3,664.
Complaints also rose 10% overall to 66.847, but radio and TV complaints fell 2,083. 620 complaints were received in JULY, with 619 in AUGUST and 844 in SEPTEMBER. Indecency complaints were 139 in JULY, 97 in AUGUST, and 302 in SEPTEMBER.
