The MIAMI HERALD's JOSE LAMBIET is reporting that BEASLEY Sports WQAM-A/MIAMI afternoon host SID ROSENBERG is alleged by a COSTA RICA-based online sports betting site to owe it $44,500, and the site has sent an operative to MIAMI to try to get its money.
LAMBIET reports that FRANK SOVIERO, who says he works for 1BETVEGAS.COM, has been in SOUTH FLORIDA for two months to collect the money, which he said ROSENBERG lost in two weeks of betting on sports.
SOVIERO noted that the site cannot sue for the money "since what we do is illegal in the U.S.," but that ROSENBERG has been paying off the debt, which started with a $25,000 credit extended to the host, in increments of "100 bucks her and there" and $900 last month.
