AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION (AFA) Contemporary Christian AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO network Morning Co-host JJ JASPER is in SAN ANTONIO for the SAN ANTONIO INDEPENDENT CHRISTIAN FILM FESTIVAL. The documentary, "FLAME ON," about the JULY 17th, 2009, death of JASPER's five-year-old son COOPER, is a semifinalist in the competition. The winners will be announced SATURDAY (2/25) night.
According to AFA's ONENEWSNOW.COM, JASPER and his wife, MELANIE, agreed to let AFA do a documentary about his family's struggle with the loss of their son. "It's a bigger story of hope on the other side of tragedy. We are a living testimony about God's mercy and grace, and it's true -- His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). The Lord can help you make it through any trial or tribulation, no matter how difficult," said JASPER.

JASPER also worked with the producers and crew of the movie "COURAGEOUS"; several scenes in that movie are based off his family's experience. "COURAGEOUS" is a semi-finalist in the feature film category.
