KXTR-A Flips From Classical To Business News

ENTERCOM Classical KXTR-A (RADIO BACH)/KANSAS CITY will soon be replaced with the new "KMBZ Business Channel on 1660," KC PR agency BOTTOM LINE COMMUNICATIONS reports. The station could go live this week with an official start date slated for MONDAY, MARCH 5th.
The new station is expected to be a business extension of ENTERCOM/KANSAS CITY’s Newsradio (FM 98.1/AM 980) brand. The simulcasted station will provide 1660 with local and national news updates, breaking news, weather, traffic, etc., while 1660 will provide KMBZ all of its business and market news and updates. Former KMBZ afternoon co-host MIKE SHANIN will host "The Power Lunch with MIKE SHANIN" from 11a-1p weekdays.
RADIO BACH's library of 3,700 CDs to KANSAS PUBLIC RADIO at the UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS.
