March 1, 2012 at 3:52 AM (PT)
Among the agenda items posted for the FCC's MARCH 21st Open Meeting are two that address low power FM and translator issues.
One item will consider a Report and Order for a market-specific FM translator processing scheme, with application caps to prevent trafficking and expanded opportunities to rebroadcast AM stations on FM translators. The other item will consider issuing a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on LPFM issues including second adjacent channel waiver procedures, interference remediation requirements, and modification of eligibility, ownership, and selection standards.
