REPUBLIC NASHVILLE trio THE BAND PERRY is celebrating their #1 single “If I Die Young” going Quadruple Platinum with sales of over four million. This song is the only single from a debut album in the last 18 months to achieve this feat, and has sold more copies than any other Country single in the same time frame. KIMBERLY PERRY was recently awarded the “2011 CMA Song of the Year Award” for the single, and said “We are honored by this acknowledgement and thankful that so many of you have connected with this song.”
“Each time the bar is set, it seems that THE BAND PERRY surpasses it! Selling over four million downloads on just one song is a huge accomplishment. This extremely talented group is remarkable and we’re thrilled to have them as part of the REPUBLIC NASHVILLE family,” said label Pres. JIMMY HARNEN.
The trio is also nominated for “2012 ACM Group of the Year” and will host the upcoming GAC television special, presenting the “2012 ACM New Artist of the Year” nominees. Their new single “Postcard from Paris” is impacting now.
