JELLI Founder/CEO MICHAEL DOUGHERTY tells ALL ACCESS, "We are releasing our new JELLI for ANDROID app, probably the most requested feature (ever) by users and broadcasters of JELLI. In addition, in conjunction with the SXSW festivities in AUSTIN, we will be launching a specially curated SXSW themed streaming radio station, to help listeners get ready for a great SXSW."
The app is JELLI's first ANDROID app, re-designed from the ground up. It will include some fun features (e.g., special ANDROID rocket sound effects, etc.).
As for the dedicated SXSW streaming channel, DOUGHERTY notes it's "curated to include only those bands that are playing at SXSW this year. This station includes a ton of indie bands playing at the festival. Like all JELLI stations however, the actual playlist is crowdsourced by users in realtime, online or mobile. It will be available for free in our tuner like all of our other stations."
