LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO has launched a product aimed at News-Talk and Sports format stations, LDR.TopicPulse. The service provides real-time information to show producers and hosts on topic "buzz" among listeners by scanning news sources, blogs, and social media to show which topics are trending at that second. Local and national stories, entertainment and celebrity news, sports, politics, and Spanish-language news are covered by the service.
"In many cases, radio stations lag hours behind the news stories and topics that break (and get discussed) on social media. Now, LDR.TopicPulse offers a real-time window into what listeners are talking about, so News/Talk and Sports stations can make better informed decisions on which topics to put on the air," said LDR Pres./CEO DANIEL ANSTANDIG.
"PPM keeps the stakes high for stations to air only the very best content every minute. At LDR, our goal is to use social media to increase broadcast ratings, revenue, and web traffic. We are passionate about innovation and using technology to make broadcast programming better," said LDR Chief Revenue Officer MAUREEN LESOURD. "We are excited to release this new system for spoken word stations, a format that is growing around the world."
