On Tuesday morning (13), beginning at 8a, CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KWNW (101.9 RADIO NOW)/MEMPHIS will change its name to 101.9 RADIO TREY to support TREY ERWIN, a local high school student battling pancreatic cancer. The announcement was made today by CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNITIES, the community engagement brand of CLEAR CHANNEL.
TREY is a 15-year-old sophomore who plays on the varsity football team at COLLIERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, and is currently undergoing treatment at ST. JUDE/LEBONHEUR CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER for stage four pancreatic cancer. For 13 hours (the number on his jersey), the station will change its name, imaging, website and social media to show support for TREY and his family during their courageous battle.
"101.9 RADIO NOW is proud to join the community in support of TREY and the ERWIN family" said station PD DINO CONARD adding, "It is our hope that this 13-hour event will pay tribute to the young man's courage as well as raise awareness throughout the community about pediatric cancer."
