Salem Buys Detroit-Area FM Translator

SALEM COMMUNICATIONS' PENNSYLVANIA MEDIA ASSOCIATES, INC. is buying FM translator W248AQ (to be W224CC)/HARRISON, MI from TIM MARTZ's RADIO POWER for $250,000.  SALEM plans to use the translator, which covers a portion of DETROIT's northern suburbs (WARREN, ST. CLAIR SHORES) to rebroadcast its Talk WDTK-A (1400 THE PATRIOT)/DETROIT.

In other filings with the FCC, RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. is selling W272CP/SOPERTON, GA to RADIOJONES, LLC under a 2010 option agreement that involved a $3,000 option payment and a $1 sale price.  The station rebroadcasts the buyer's Hot AC WEDB (MAGIC 98.1)/EAST DUBLIN, GA.  In addition, the seller's sister EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling W259AK/SWAINSBORO, GA to the same buyer for a $4,000 option payment and $1 sale price; the translator rebroadcasts Talk WJAT-A (AM 800 THE PATRIOT)/SWAINSBORO.

COUNTRY-WIDE BROADCASTERS, INC. has closed on the sale of WFXY-A/MIDDLESBORO, KY to PENELOPE, INC. for $45,000.

KXVI COMMUNICATIONS has closed on the sale of the construction permit for KNLY/NEW WAVERLY, TX to CENTRO CRISTIANO DE VIDA ETERNA for $5,000.

TEXAS GULFWEST COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION has closed on the sale of Classic Country KLGD (K106.9)/STAMFORD-ABILENE, TX to VANCE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $375,000.

COMMUNITY RADIO FOUNDATION OF FLORIDA, INC. has closed on the donation of noncommercial WTYC/MARIETTA, OH to AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION (JOY CHRISTIAN COMMUNICATIONS).

And RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator W244BC/OCALA, FL to GENERATIONS BROADCASTING CORP. for $25,000.  The translator is rebroadcasting Talk WOCA-A/OCALA.
