FCC Hits FM Auction Bidder With Default Payment Bill

Default Payment Bill Sent

Among the default payment obligation assessments released by the FCC last week for various auction bidders was one for $201,908.75 against MARY VARGAS for defaulting on her final payments for construction permits at CHEBOYGAN and BROWNING, MI in FM Auction 62.  

The amount was calculated after the permits were auctioned off again at subsequent auctions and involves the difference between the defaulted bid and the subsequent lesser winning bid, plus an additional amount of a minimum 3% of the second bid.

In addition, the Commission has issued Notices of Unlicensed Operation to AIXA ROMAN (99.9 FM, NEW CASTLE, DE); JEFF DINEEN (1680 AM, FULLERTON, CA); LINDOFF LINDSAY (99.9 FM, BROOKLYN, NY); BRUCE DAVIS WILKINSON, SUANE STEPHEN MOORE, and ROBERT F. WHITLOCK (98.5 FM, OLYMPIA, WA); FRANK MCCRACKEN and J PRO LLC (98.5 FM, EUGENE, OR); PHILIP BRITTIN (106.5 FM, BOULDER, CO); ALEX MULVANEY and RAGHY SHARMA (95.3 FM, BOULDER, CO); SHEEHAN GILLIS (104.1 FM, OAKLAND, CA); JOE SERRANO (106.9 FM, SAN DIEGO, CA); ANTHONY DAVIS (91.7 FM, BRONX, NY); BRIVIL AROLE (87.9 FM, HARVEY, LA); EDWARD E.
