The Beggars Group Hires Risa Matsuki Lawrenson As Head Of Radio Promotions

Risa Is Headed To The Big Apple

THE BEGGARS GROUP names RISA MATSUKI LAWRENSON as Head Of Radio Promotions for the group of labels, which includes XL RECORDINGS, ROUGH TRADE RECORDS, MATADOR RECORDS and 4AD. She replaces JEREMY GOLDSTEIN, who recently moved from NEW YORK to SAN FRANCISCO, and continues to work for the company in a regional radio role.

RISA will be relocating from LOS ANGELES to THE BEGGARS GROUP NEW YORK CITY office in APRIL. She most recently ran MRP, her own independent record promotions' company. Previously she was Head Of Radio Promotion at MYSPACE RECORDS and before that she was National Dir./Triple A Radio for UNIVERSAL RECORDS/UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC.
