CUMULUS MEDIA will begin radio distribution and handle ad sales for concert and music specials produced by COURTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT. The first music special will be a 50th Anniversary of the ROLLING STONES, "In Their Own Words," set to air MEMORIAL DAY weekend, which will feature an exclusive inside look at the Stones as told by band members -- as well as recordings of in-studio and on-stage performances.
CUMULUS and COURTSIDE will also feature major bands and artists from the worlds of Country music, Rock and Top 40 during the JULY 4th and LABOR DAY holiday weekends.
"We couldn’t be more thrilled than to offer stations the biggest and best names from the world of music," CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS SVP of Affiliate Sales and Broadcast Operations DENNIS GREEN said. "NORM PATTIZ gave listeners and advertisers the biggest moments in music and concert specials on the radio and we look forward to being a part of that once again."
"It’s safe to say that our Chairman NORM PATTIZ has been responsible for more music specials and big events for all formats than anyone else in the history of modern radio," COURTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT GROUP Pres. BOB MOORE said. "This deal with the good folks at CUMULUS ensures that record will continue. We look forward to our partnership with JOHN, DENNIS and the entire CUMULUS RADIO NETWORKS team to bring the biggest events on radio to stations in every market."
