Tornadoes Send Cumulus Dallas-Ft. Worth Cluster Into Continuous-Coverage Mode

With tornadoes sweeping through NORTH TEXAS TUESDAY (3/3), the CUMULUS DALLAS-FORT WORTH cluster went into continuous-coverage mode, at one point simulcasting coverage of the storms on all six of its local stations.
PD TYLER COX tells ALL ACCESS that as a wall of storm clouds passed directly above the station's building, Talk WBAP-A-F and Talk KLIF-A banded together for coverage anchored by MARK WATKINS and staff meteorologist BRAD BARTON, with staffers from the cluster's stations calling in reports from throughout the region.
By 1p (CT), the WBAP-KLIF coverage was airing on Sports KTCK-A (THE TICKET), Country KSCS, Country KPLX (99.5 THE WOLF), and Top 40 KLIF-F (i93) as well.
The simulcast lasted until about 3:30p as the storms moved through the market, then KLIF and WBAP continued coverage through the evening, with WBAP evening host CHRIS KROK simulcast on both stations taking calls from listeners and reporting on the post-storm cleanup and damage assessment.
